Delete your account
Holler is operated by Brightstack Labs. You can delete your account at any time.
Delete it in the app
The fastest way, on the device where you are signed in:
- Open Holler and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account (on the web, Delete my account).
- Confirm. Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out.
If you cannot reach the app
Email privacy@hollerhq.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
What gets deleted
- Your login and password.
- Your profile: name, email, and phone number.
- Your group memberships and device notification tokens.
- Invitations sent to your email address.
What is kept
Holler is a workplace tool, so the alerts and comments created in a group are that workplace's operational records (used for reporting and root-cause analysis). Those records are kept with no set end date, but your name is removed from them and they are no longer linked to your account.
Some other data is also kept after deletion: records of texts you sent to our number (such as STOP), billing records held by our payment processor, copies in backups until they are overwritten, and logs and crash reports our providers keep on their own schedules.
One thing to know first
If you are the only admin of a group that still has other members, hand admin off to someone else before deleting, so the group is not left without an admin. If you are the only person in the group, you can delete right away.
